Irises
After losing her great-grandma in 2016, Ashley has associated Irises with her. The flower acts like a portal to wherever the “lost” are in this reality for her. Whenever Ashley feels she is rushing life, which is often, Irises remind her to “open at her own pace” and the that we all end up in the same place eventually.
Through the years her interpretation of the Iris has become looser as her memories with her great grandma become fainter.
